Kenalog (Triamcinolone) is an IM injection used to calm itching, irritation, redness, and inflammation. It can also be used in a diluted form an injected as an intradermal injection for acne lesions, cysts, and scars (including keloids). Though these injections are known to be effective and safe, one possible side effect can be a dent left in the skin at the injection site. Over time your body should fill this back in, but in rare instances it may be permanent.
Please keep your hands away from the treated area and do not press on it. Avoid facials or massages for 24 hours within the treated area. You should return to your normal skin care routine and all regular activities after your treatment unless you are provided with alternate instructions.
