A native Nevadan, Dr. F. Victor Rueckl, M.D. is a board-certified dermatologist and skin cancer surgeon. After obtaining a Bachelor of Sciences degree from the University of Southern California, Dr. Rueckl attended medical school first at the University of Nevada School of Medicine in Reno, and finished his degree at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. After obtaining his degree, Dr. Rueckl moved to Santa Barbara, California, where he did an internship in internal medicine. The following year, Dr. Rueckl decided he wanted a more specialized field and applied to Brown University School of Medicine in Providence, Rhode Island. He was accepted into his first choice – dermatology – and obtained his specialized degree in 1982. Immediately following graduation, Dr. Rueckl moved to Southern California to complete a fellowship in Mohs surgery at UC Irvine School of Medicine.

Upon completion of schooling, Dr. Rueckl moved back to his hometown in Reno, Nevada and opened a private practice for dermatology and Mohs cancer surgery. Dr. Rueckl kept his private practice in Reno until 1996. Soon after, he moved to Bakersfield, California to work for Kaiser Permanente and run their dermatology department. After a few years, Dr. Rueckl decided he wanted to re-enter private practice and moved to Las Vegas to open Lakes Dermatology. He subsequently added to that practice by starting The Spa at Lakes Dermatology in May 2005. For a few years, Dr. Rueckl also owned The Spa at Seven Hills, but closed that practice to focus on his dermatology practice in Summerlin.

Dr. Rueckl is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology and the American Society for Mohs Surgery. He is also a fellow in the American Association of Cosmetic Dermatology. He has been licensed in Nevada since 1981. Dr. Rueckl obtains numerous certifications and attends trainings each year to stay abreast of changes and innovations in the cosmetic dermatology field.

Angela Groccia is originally from Idaho, but moved to Las Vegas with her family as a young child. She has worked with Dr. Rueckl for nearly nine years. She started as a receptionist and product specialist, and quickly realized that her true desires were to be hands-on with patients and perform services at The Spa. Angie has obtained all needed certifications to become a laser technician and has been performing spa services for the past five years.

Melanie Clegg is originally from Murray, UT, but moved to Las Vegas as a child and has lived here since. She has served as a dermatology Medical Assistant since the age of 15, graduating high school one year early to fully explore the field of medicine. She began working with Dr. Rueckl as a Medical Assistant in 2006.

Melanie is exceptionally well-trained and assists Dr. Rueckl with surgeries, procedures, prescriptions, biopsies, and general patient care. Melanie is familiar with all product lines offered by Dr. Rueckl’s offices and can assist you with your skincare needs, as well as any questions you have about procedures performed by Dr. Rueckl or those at The Spa.

Jennifer Suchorski is a native Las Vegan. She has worked as a Medical Assistant for over 20 years and has specialized as a dermatology Medical Assistant for 16 years. Jennifer came to Lakes Dermatology in 2002 to work with Dr. Rueckl because she has a passion for beautiful, healthy skin and wanted to become more involved in the cosmetic dermatology field.

Jennifer assists Dr. Rueckl with various procedures and surgeries, but is also a certified laser technician at The Spa at Lakes Dermatology. She is certified for all spa services offered and has advanced certifications for the product lines carried at The Spa. Jennifer is consistently adding to her extensive knowledge by attending additional spa and product training programs.

Cindy Groccia is originally from Pocatello, ID, but moved to Las Vegas years ago to work in the medical field. Cindy attended the American Academy of Medical Assistants and graduated with a 4.0 GPA. She has worked in dermatology offices as a Medical Assistant since 1992, working with many Las Vegas valley physicians. Cindy came to Lakes Dermatology in 2001 to work with Dr. Rueckl because she wanted to work in an office with advanced technologies in cosmetic dermatology.

Cindy assists Dr. Rueckl with procedures and surgeries, but is also a certified laser technician at The Spa at Lakes Dermatology. She is certified for all spa services offered and has passed all requirements for performing these procedures. Cindy continues to add to her certifications by attending advanced training courses in laser systems, skin care, and other spa procedures.

Whitney Tiner was born in Northern California and grew up in Northern Nevada. She moved to Las Vegas in 2005 to pursue a career in cosmetic dentistry. While working for a cosmetic dentist, Whitney decided she wanted to expand her healthcare knowledge and began taking classes to become an aesthetician. She optained her licensure in 2007. She joined The Spa's team in 2010 and is focused on providing patients with quality care. Whitney works at The Spa providing patients with treatments and skincare products.
